Expertise & Services

Whether you are just starting your career as an HGV driver, or have held your licence for some time, Durhams is here to help you. With years of experience in the industry, I am here to help you gain the qualifications you require, whether it be Driver CPC or Lorry Loader training. I pride myself on delivering to the highest possible standards.

Periodic Driver CPC Training

This consists of 35 hours of classroom training every 5 years or 7hrs per year while you are continuing your driving career. You might have heard rumors that CPC training is boring and repetitive, but I’ve worked hard to develop engaging courses that increase your knowledge, your ability and your enthusiasm for your driving career.

Find out more about the different parts of the CPC, and what they mean for you.

ALLMI Lorry Loader Training

The ALLMI Operator course consists of 15 modules and is either one or two days in duration (depending on whether the candidate is a novice or experienced operator). Both the one and two day courses culminate in a written and practical examination. ALLMI is notified (by the instructor) of all courses in advance of the training taking place (via ALLMI's online registration system), so that unannounced instructor audits can be carried out.

The assessment process is set by ALLMI and administered by the instructor. It consists of two theoretical assessments and one practical. The theoretical assessments consist of a set of core multiple choice and 'open' questions, as well as questions which relate specifically to the crane attachment being used. The practical assessment is designed to identify whether the candidate has the appropriate practical skills to operate a lorry loader safely and efficiently. Upon successful completion of the course, every candidate will receive an identity card and certificate, and will be registered on the ALLMI Operator database.

ALLMI Slinger Signaller Training

The ALLMI Slinger / Signaller course content is very comprehensive and so cardholders are able to use their skills when performing Slinger / Signaller duties with any type of lifting equipment, not just lorry loaders. The Slinger / Signaller course consists of 13 modules. The course duration is one day for experienced candidates and a minimum of two days for novice candidates. A maximum of four candidates can attend a course. Both courses culminate in a written and practical examination.
